When your BLD gaming system starts, or "boots up", the system hardware will do a "Power-On Self Test" or POST. This test checks a number of components as they are started, and covers things like a BIOS self-check to confirm the BIOS is okay, a memory check, a test of your storage devices, etc.
If there's a problem with one or more components during the POST, you should see an error message on the screen. Copy this message down, and contact our BLD support team for assistance in troubleshooting and correcting the problem.
Occasionally, a system will pass the POST but you won't be able to get to the Windows operating system. If this happens to you, try these steps.
Does your BIOS recognize your storage device?
There are a few ways to tell if your Motherboard’s BIOS can’t see your hard drive. One way is if you are greeted with this message.
This typically means your Operating System’s device is non operational, or your SATA connection is bad/faulty. You can verify this by heading into your BIOS and seeing if your storage device comes up in the list of connected hardware to your motherboard. If your storage device is still listed in your BIOS then it is more than likely your storage device not operating properly.
My storage device is recognized but still won’t boot to windows.
This can mean your windows operating system is corrupted. This will require a reinstall of your operating system. Please contact our BLD support team for instructions on doing a new install of Windows.
